Description

A stunning dessert featuring a light and airy pavlova topped with juicy pineapple and tangy passion fruit, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1/2 cup passion fruit pulp
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on high speed until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the sugar one tablespoon at a time, beating until the mixture is glossy and stiff peaks form, around 4-5 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in the vanilla extract, vinegar, and cornstarch. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming a round shape with a slight well in the center.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the pavlova cool completely inside.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Once cooled, top the pavlova with whipped cream, diced pineapple, and passion fruit pulp. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Pavlova is best served fresh. Store any leftover meringue in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
