- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and egg, mixing until smooth. Pour into dry ingredients and stir gently.
- Fill each doughnut cavity about 2/3 full with batter. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
