Description

The ultimate dessert for chocolate lovers, blending rich flavors and luxurious textures into one delightful treat with three layers of chocolate mousse.


Ingredients

  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • 4 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Melt each type of chocolate in separate bowls over a double boiler until fully melted and smooth.
  2. In a bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Beat the egg yolks and granulated sugar until pale and creamy.
  4. Add the melted chocolate to the egg mixture and blend smoothly, then fold in the whipped cream. Repeat for each type of chocolate.
  5. Dissolve the gelatin in water and add it to each chocolate mixture.
  6. In a springform pan, layer the dark chocolate mousse first, followed by the milk chocolate, and finally top with the white chocolate mousse.
  7. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
  8. Remove the springform pan and slice the cake, serving chilled.

Notes

Store leftover mousse cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Avoid freezing.
