- 6 tomatillos
- 2 jalapeños
- 1 onion
- 1 cup cilantro (fresh)
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Remove the husk from the tomatillos and rinse them under cold water.
- In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the tomatillos and jalapeños, cooking for about 10 minutes until softened.
- Drain and transfer to a blender. Add chopped onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
- Blend until smooth, adjusting seasoning as necessary.
Notes
For a milder sauce, remove the seeds from the jalapeños. Use fresh ingredients for best flavor.
