Description

A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert transformed into a creamy dip, perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Ladyfinger cookies or graham crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  5. In a shallow dish, mix the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
  6. Dip the ladyfinger cookies in the coffee mixture for a few seconds until soaked but not soggy. Layer the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of a serving bowl.
  7. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the soaked cookies.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and cream cheese mixture.
  9. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes before serving with extra cookies on the side.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider using mascarpone cheese instead of cream cheese. Can be prepared a day in advance.
