Description

Delicious and wholesome pecan pie bars made with almond and coconut flour for a guilt-free dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, melted coconut oil, 1/4 cup maple syrup, and salt for the crust. Press into the baking dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In another bowl, mix chopped pecans, 3/4 cup maple syrup, coconut sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for another 25-30 minutes until the filling is set.
  7. Let the bars cool completely in the baking dish before slicing them into squares.

Notes

For an extra touch, top with flaked sea salt before serving.
