Description

A fun and festive twist on classic stuffed peppers, perfect for Halloween or any time you want to add a touch of spookiness to your dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or sausage)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Olives or pepper slices (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  2. In a frying pan, cook the ground meat and chopped onion over medium heat until browned and the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until fully combined and heated through.
  4. Stuff each bell pepper with the meat and rice mixture, pressing down gently. Place in a baking dish, sprinkle cheese on top if desired, and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
  5. Decorate with olives or pepper slices to create spooky faces before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the filling based on preferences; can also be made vegetarian with beans or lentils.
