Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix well and pour into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Distribute spoonfuls of this mixture over the cake batter.
  4. Gently fold in sliced strawberries, chocolate chips, and nuts (if using). Swirl lightly to create a marbled effect.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
