- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix well and pour into the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Distribute spoonfuls of this mixture over the cake batter.
- Gently fold in sliced strawberries, chocolate chips, and nuts (if using). Swirl lightly to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before serving.
