Description

A delightful fusion of tender chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and savory sauce, served over fluffy rice and topped with fresh green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Take the chicken thighs and place them in the bowl with the marinade. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, slice it into strips. Layer the cooked rice and top with the sliced chicken. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra tenderness, marinate the chicken overnight. Use jasmine or basmati rice for a fragrant base. Substitute chicken thighs with chicken breast or tofu for a vegetarian option.
