Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish generously.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
  3. Fold the cubed bread into the banana mixture until all pieces are soaked.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly.
  5. Drizzle warm toffee sauce over each serving and enjoy!
