Description

A quick and comforting dish of tender beef strips in a creamy sauce, served over hearty egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef (sliced thin)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles (cooked, for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned, stirring regularly.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and let them cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For creamy variation, Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream. Ensure to use a tender cut of beef for best results.
