Description

A comforting one-pot dish combining ground beef, pasta, and rich tomato flavors, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, elbow macaroni, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and top with cheddar cheese if desired.

Notes

This recipe is versatile; feel free to substitute ground turkey or lentils for a healthier option. You can also add more veggies like zucchini or mushrooms.
