Description

Classic soft and chewy cookies studded with gooey chocolate chips. Perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the butter mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
  8. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for best results. Don’t overmix after adding flour.
