Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, melt the butter and add the minced garlic, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker and coat them with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring each piece is well covered.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker. If desired, shred the chicken with two forks and return it to the slow cooker, mixing it well with the garlic butter sauce. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. Adjust seasonings to taste. For extra richness, drizzle melted butter before serving or mix in grated Parmesan cheese.
