Description

A delightful combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors featuring crispy bacon and caramelized Brussels sprouts, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and sprinkle the chopped bacon over the top.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar before serving if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, try using thick-cut bacon. You can skip the bacon for a vegetarian option or use turkey bacon instead.
