Description

Delightful cupcakes combining rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter, topped with chocolate frosting and mini Reese’s.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate frosting
  • Mini Reese’s peanut butter cups for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, milk, peanut butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  4. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool completely before frosting with chocolate frosting.
  7. Top each cupcake with a mini Reese’s peanut butter cup.

Notes

For extra indulgence, consider adding a layer of peanut butter frosting in addition to the chocolate frosting.
