- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are set and centers are still soft.
- Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth for the filling.
- Once cookies are cooled, spread the cream cheese filling between two cookies.
- Serve and enjoy!
