Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a baking dish, combine the sliced peaches and half of the sugar. Spread evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and optional cinnamon.
  4. Add milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter to dry ingredients. Stir until combined into a smooth batter.
  5. Pour the batter over the peaches in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
