Description

Delightful treats combining the sweetness of dried fruits, the crunch of nuts, and rich dark chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine sugar, butter, honey, and salt until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and fold in the dried fruits and slivered almonds until evenly coated. Spoon dollops onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
  5. Melt dark chocolate in a double boiler. Dip the bottoms of the cooled Florentines in chocolate and set back on parchment to firm up.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
