Description

A delightful combination of crispy shrimp enveloped in a creamy, spicy sauce that’s perfect for parties or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Jumbo Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + lemon juice)
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch (or potato/tapioca starch)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp sriracha

Instructions

  1. Start by marinating the shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes.
  2. While the shrimp is marinating, mix the bang bang sauce.
  3. In another bowl, combine the cornstarch, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. Toss the crispy shrimp in the prepared bang bang sauce right before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately while hot and crispy. Pairs well with steamed rice or salad.
