- 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, incorporating each fully. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Take a tablespoon of dough, flatten it, and wrap it around a caramel candy, rolling it into a ball.
- Arrange cookie balls on a baking sheet, leaving space between them. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
