Description
Delightful and crunchy chips made from rice paper, cooked in the air fryer for a healthier snack option. Perfect for dipping or as a crunchy addition to dishes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6–8 rice paper sheets (spring roll wrappers)
- Warm water (for soaking)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning (for Everything Bagel Version)
- Pinch of garlic powder (for Everything Bagel Version)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (for Spicy Chili Version)
- ½ teaspoon paprika (for Spicy Chili Version)
- ¼ teaspoon salt (for Spicy Chili Version)
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for Spicy Chili Version)
Instructions
- Prepare by filling a shallow dish with warm water. Soak each rice paper sheet for 15-30 seconds until pliable. Lay on a clean towel and gently pat dry.
- While the rice paper is still damp, evenly sprinkle your chosen seasoning over the surface. Gently press seasoning into the paper to help it stick. Let rest for 1-2 minutes before air frying.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place rice paper sheets in a single layer. Air fry for 4-6 minutes until edges are golden and crisp. Remove and cool on a wire rack for about 30 seconds.
- Break into chip-sized pieces and serve immediately for the best crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes
Use freshly opened rice paper for best crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer for optimal results.
