Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir in melted butter until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in vanilla.
  3. Fold in flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Then, fold in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  4. Drop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are slightly soft. Let cool on sheets briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
