- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in pecans and corn syrup.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow to rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with milk or coffee. Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Can freeze for up to three months.
