  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast, letting it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter evenly. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans.
  6. Roll the dough into a tight log and slice into 12 even pieces.
  7. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow rolls to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
