- 1 large ripe banana, mashed

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and airy.
- Blend in the mashed banana, egg, and vanilla extract until homogenous.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually integrate into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and chill the dough for extra chewiness.
