Description

A delightful dish that combines the flavors of a cheeseburger with pasta, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta (such as penne or rotini)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped pickles and additional cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onions and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in the pasta, beef broth, diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Serve warm, topped with chopped pickles and additional cheese if desired.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding a splash of broth or water to loosen the pasta.
