Description

A nostalgic dish that combines tender egg noodles, creamy tuna, and a crunchy topping, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen green peas
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir in the cooked noodles and frozen green peas until everything is well mixed.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through and the topping is golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a creamier casserole, add an extra splash of milk or sour cream. Customize with additional vegetables or cheese varieties for different flavors.
