Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the rolled oats, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  7. Pour the cookie dough into a greased oven-safe skillet and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
