Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the rolled oats, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Pour the cookie dough into a greased oven-safe skillet and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
