Description

Quick and easy cinnamon rolls without the need for yeast, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water or milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add melted butter and milk to your dry mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then spread evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from one end to create a log.
  7. Cut the log into slices about 1 inch thick and place on a prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and slightly firm.
  9. For the icing, mix powdered sugar with water or milk until smooth.
