- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons water or milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add melted butter and milk to your dry mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then spread evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end to create a log.
- Cut the log into slices about 1 inch thick and place on a prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and slightly firm.
- For the icing, mix powdered sugar with water or milk until smooth.
