Instructions
- Start by crushing the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Mix the crumbs with melted butter to create a damp mixture.
- Press the Oreo and butter mixture into the bottom of a springform pan evenly to form the crust.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fluffy.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust and spread it out evenly.
- Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or until firm and set.
- Just before serving, top with additional crushed Oreo cookies if desired.
