Description

Delicious Nestlé chocolate chip cookies with golden edges, soft centers, and melty chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set it aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Gradually fold in the flour mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  5. Let cookies cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature butter and avoid overmixing the dough.
