Description

A delightful combination of tender chicken, rich buttery flavors, garlic, and gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain, reserving 1/4 cup pasta water.
  2. In a bowl, mix chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
  3. Melt 1 tbsp butter in a skillet, cook chicken until golden brown, then remove.
  4. Melt remaining butter, sauté garlic, add chicken broth, cream, and Parmesan, stirring until smooth.
  5. Return chicken to skillet, add pasta, tossing gently, and incorporate reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella on top, cover for 2-3 minutes until melted, then garnish with parsley, pepper, and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with a light salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
