Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, and gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. Let the cupcakes cool in the tin before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
