Description

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth with a few small lumps.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, then stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
