- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter (for chocolate layer)
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter (for mint layer)
- 1 teaspoon mint extract
- 2 to 3 drops green food coloring (optional)
- ½ cup chopped Andes mints or chocolate pieces (for topping)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips with half the can of condensed milk and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the lined pan and spread it evenly. Refrigerate until slightly firm, about 20–30 minutes.
- In another saucepan, melt white chocolate chips with the remaining condensed milk and 2 tablespoons of butter until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in mint extract and optional green food coloring.
- Pour the mint layer over the chilled chocolate base and smooth the top. Sprinkle chopped Andes mints over the mint layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely firm.
- Lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut into squares. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
Notes
For a smoother texture, melt the chocolate slowly and stir consistently. Adjust mint extract to taste.
