  • 1 cup mint chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the mint chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

For thicker cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes prior to baking.
