Description

A hearty Meatball Casserole Parmesan with savory meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over meatballs and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and cheese is bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For added nutrition, mix in chopped spinach or mushrooms. You can also use lean turkey or chicken for a lighter dish.
