Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups sugar-free marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, almond flour, Parmesan, onion, garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix and form into meatballs.
  3. Place meatballs in a baking dish, cover with marinara sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked and cheese is bubbly.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes to the meat mixture. Substitute ground turkey with chicken or pork for variations.
