- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 8 slices bacon, thin-cut
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to help with easy cleanup.
- Divide the trimmed asparagus into 8 equal bundles. Drizzle the olive oil over the asparagus, and then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together to coat the asparagus evenly with the seasonings.
- Wrap one slice of bacon snugly around each asparagus bundle, overlapping slightly to ensure it stays together. Place the bundles seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the oven for about 18 to 20 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the asparagus is tender.
- Remove the bundles from the oven, sprinkle each one with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and return them to the oven for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden. Serve immediately while hot from the oven.
