Description

Delightful bite-sized tartlet bites combining mushrooms, ham, and cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for entertaining or a quick snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 1 cup ham, diced
  • 1 cup cheese (Swiss or cheddar), shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  3. Add diced mushrooms and ham to the skillet. Cook until mushrooms are soft, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares, roughly 4 inches each.
  5. Place a spoonful of the mushroom, ham, and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
