Description

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder until well combined.
  2. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, and stir until smooth.
  3. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips. Microwave the mug on high for about 40-60 seconds, until the cake has risen and is set but still soft in the center.
  4. Let it cool for a couple of minutes before enjoying.

Notes

Serve directly in the mug; consider dusting with powdered sugar or adding vanilla ice cream on top. Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
