- 4 salmon filets
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon blackening seasoning (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Begin by patting the salmon filets dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the salmon with kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and optional blackening seasoning.
- Preheat your broiler to the medium position.
- Melt the butter and olive oil together in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Stir in the honey, water, soy sauce, sriracha, and lemon juice, cooking for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place the salmon filets skin-side down into the skillet, coating them well in the glaze.
- Baste them with the glaze and let them cook for approximately 3 minutes.
- Transfer the skillet to the broiler and let the salmon broil for about 5-6 minutes.
- Remove from the oven once nicely browned and caramelized.
Notes
Serve the salmon with rice, quinoa, or salad. Garnish with parsley or sesame seeds. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
