- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until a cohesive dough forms.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the greased baking pan evenly.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the pressed dough and spread it evenly.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Let the cookies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
