Instructions
- Start by peeling and grating the potatoes. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch, then dry them thoroughly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, crumbled bacon, chopped onion, flour, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small, bite-sized tots using your hands.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the tater tots in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side.
- Remove cooked tater tots from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
