  • Author: mia-harper

  • Diet: Omnivore

Description

Crispy, golden-brown tater tots filled with the savory flavor of bacon. Perfect as a side dish or a fun snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups grated potatoes
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Start by peeling and grating the potatoes. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch, then dry them thoroughly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, crumbled bacon, chopped onion, flour, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small, bite-sized tots using your hands.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the tater tots in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side.
  5. Remove cooked tater tots from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

Make sure to dry the grated potatoes thoroughly for the best texture. You can also bake these for a healthier option.
