Description

Experience the rich, nutty flavor of freshly ground peanuts with homemade peanut butter. It’s customizable, easy to make, and perfect for spreading or adding to recipes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons peanut oil (optional for creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Place the roasted peanuts into your food processor. If using salted peanuts, skip adding additional salt later.
  2. Blend the peanuts on high speed until they turn into a smooth, creamy consistency, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. If desired, add the salt and sweetener (honey or maple syrup) and blend until fully mixed.
  4. For a creamier texture, add 1-2 tablespoons of peanut oil and blend until desired consistency is achieved.
  5. Transfer the homemade peanut butter to a clean jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For thick peanut butter, add more oil; for a chunky version, stir in reserved chopped peanuts at the end.
