Description
Experience the rich, nutty flavor of freshly ground peanuts with homemade peanut butter. It’s customizable, easy to make, and perfect for spreading or adding to recipes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups unsalted roasted peanuts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons peanut oil (optional for creaminess)
Instructions
- Place the roasted peanuts into your food processor. If using salted peanuts, skip adding additional salt later.
- Blend the peanuts on high speed until they turn into a smooth, creamy consistency, scraping down the sides as needed.
- If desired, add the salt and sweetener (honey or maple syrup) and blend until fully mixed.
- For a creamier texture, add 1-2 tablespoons of peanut oil and blend until desired consistency is achieved.
- Transfer the homemade peanut butter to a clean jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
For thick peanut butter, add more oil; for a chunky version, stir in reserved chopped peanuts at the end.
