Homemade Green Sauce

Description

A fresh and zesty green sauce made with tomatillos, cilantro, and peppers, perfect for dipping or drizzling.


Ingredients

  • 6 Tomatillos
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 12 Jalapeño or Serrano peppers, chopped
  • Juice of 1 Lime
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Remove the husks from the tomatillos and rinse them under cold water.
  2. Boil the tomatillos in water for about 5 minutes until soft.
  3. Drain the tomatillos and let them cool slightly.
  4. In a blender, combine the tomatillos, onion, garlic, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  5. Serve fresh with tortilla chips or as a condiment for grilled meats and tacos.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze in small portions.
