Description

Delight in these soft, fluffy homemade glazed donuts that are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or any snack time.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan carefully.
  2. Mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract in another bowl until well combined.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fill each cavity of the donut pan about two-thirds full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 9-10 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the baked donuts cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth for the glaze.
  9. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze, allowing excess glaze to drip off.
  10. Set aside to let the glaze set before serving.
