Description
An exciting and easy way to enjoy a classic dish with a personal twist by making your own pizza from scratch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder until combined.
- Add the water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few minutes to make it smooth. Let it rest for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Roll out the dough to your desired thickness. Place the flatbread on a baking sheet, spread a thin layer of pizza sauce, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and add your favorite toppings.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden. Slice and serve hot.
Notes
For added flair, offer a variety of toppings on the side so everyone can customize their slices. Use a pizza stone for a crispier crust if available.
