Description

Delightful turnovers combining flaky puff pastry with sweet and tart cherry filling, perfect for snacks, desserts, or breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into 4-5 inch squares.
  3. Place a spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the pastry over to create a triangle and seal the edges.
  5. Brush with beaten egg for a golden color.
  6. Sprinkle sugar on top for added sweetness.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
